Zoe + Jay | Burlington Engagement Photographer | Moments –by Lauren

Man, oh man… get ready to be killed by these smiles.

A little bit of a backstory – I knew Jay in Highschool and I got to know his lovely bride to be when we sat down to chat all things wedding photography! Going into this session I knew it was going to be a good time but I think after the first set of frames it was basically a done deal. The camera loves these two. Jay is a total joker and in combination with Zoe’s laugh, these two are just infectious.

There was no shortage of some good old “lol’s” and these two were up for anything as we breezed through the park – which we basically had to ourselves (score!). Take a peek through a few frames and probably my favourite laugh sequence ever.

I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed along with clients more than I did with Chantelle + Dusan. Right from the get-go these two had me cracking up at every moment I wasn’t obsessing over how cute they are together.

These best friends got engaged at Disneyland (So. Amazing.) and have so many hilarious stories to share from their 8 years together. Laughing both with and at one another made their sunrise session almost too much fun as we strolled through downtown Toronto a little while back.  Not to mention they killed the wardrobe game, while only suffering a little bit in the cold.

Of course, we topped off the session with some coffee where the Barista was 1/3 on the correct spelling. We chatted more over some warm bevvies, and my excitement for their big day next summer only grew.

I remember them mentioning what a lot of couples do before their session – they wanted photos where they look natural and of course like they are having fun.

I think we may have got a few of those...what do you think?

Josie + Bryan | Hamilton Engagement Photographer | Moments -by Lauren

I've mentioned before how lucky I am to work with such amazing clients and help capture such important moments in their lives, but another favourite part of my job is being able to explore new places. This doesn't necessarily mean crossing the world or the country to somewhere brand new (although that's pretty great too), but even finding a new corner or a new angle of the city I grew up in is truly awesome.

Now I've know Bryan my whole life. In fact, we often joke that he's known my siblings longer then I have - which is sadly true haha. After seeing Josie come into his life as his perfect match and now have them come in to chat wedding plans, I was of course so excited to be chosen as their photographer. When discussing the engagement session, they knew they wanted something cool - throwing out the idea of a hitting up a local theatre. Naturally, I was pumped as creating custom sessions for my couples is the BEST.

We strolled through the downtown core and finished up the evening at the Lincoln Alexander Theatre - a true gem in the heart of downtown #HamOnt.

These two are saying their "I do"s in a month and a half - so leave them some love below and stay tuned!

Jaime + Travis | Toronto Engagement Photographer | Moments -by Lauren

You guys…these two are guaranteed to have you swooning into next week.

I joined Jaime and Travis in their new neighbourhood a couple weeks ago and I don’t think it’s possible for them to be more in love. After strolling through Corktown, we finished off the session on their rooftop and took in a killer view of the city, where I tried to convince them to stay for another few hours of modeling! (if only it weren’t so chilly…)

These two were truly so much fun to work with – and tying in the area where they bought their first place together just made their session that much more meaningful. These two are tying the knot in Muskoka this summer and I have a funny feeling the views and smiles will be just as stunning.

Gah. I just can’t handle it. Leave them some love, below!!

Ashley + Brendan | Hamilton Wedding Photographer | Moments -by Lauren

I’m so happy to finally be sharing the story of Ashley + Brendan’s big day from the fall.

The entire day was so laid back and effortless for this group, which started from the moment I joined the girls at Ashley’s parents house. I immediately picked up on the bond these ladies shared as they sat around the island in the kitchen laughing, gabbing and taking turns getting the final touches on their makeup.  Just like any wedding day, the excitement grew as the girls got into their dresses and headed down to Liuna Station to meet Brendan and the other half of this killer wedding party.

Their nearest & dearest surrounded them as they tied the knot – which was officiated by a close friend of the family, making it all the more special.  We snuck out after the ceremony and headed to Dundurn Park where we dodged the raindrops perfectly (literally, down to the second…). The gloomy skies were no match for this fun loving group of family and friends as we definitely spent the majority of our time laughing before kicking off the celebration properly back at their reception.

Similar to the crowd, I listened to fond and funny memories about the newlyweds in between their courses and emotional first dances – and felt so lucky to be joining them for all the fun.

And now, I’ll take a cue from Brendan’s speech as I wrap up this blog post…as “any good one should be like a woman’s skirt. Long enough to cover the subject but short enough to keep you interested.”

All my love to these high school sweethearts! Check out the story of their day, below!
