Happy Wedding Day to these two beauties!
Meagan + Tim are getting hitched in about 24 hours, and I’m so excited to have them back in front of the camera for the second time in a month!
A couple weeks ago not only did I get to hang out with this awesome duo, but also with Jimmer (their pup) and Saffiano (Meg’s Horse) who both quickly stole the show. We lasted about 30 seconds into our first walk down the laneway before Jimmer (who has been brushed out just before the session) dove into a large puddle that was just calling his name. The fun didn’t stop from there. We strolled the incredible grounds and documented all the fun Meagan + Tim have together, and I couldn’t be more obsessed with how natural these guys are.
Check out a few faves below, a couple scene-stealing moments from the furry guys and then send these two some love before it’s official!
This session, you guys …
The wind, the laughs, and the fun that we had - a description wouldn’t even do it justice.
A perfect Friday afternoon scroll.
The slickest outfits ever to grace an engagement session.
Just obsessed with these two! Thankfully, their wedding is only 8 days away. Check out a few faves of all the fun we had hopping around Graffiti Alley!
This session started with us running to catch the sunrise and it ended with donuts - so I say it was overall pretty perfect. There was also a whole lot of adorable in between.
Check out a few faves from Carleigh + James' epic engagement session in downtown Burlington.
Which is YOUR fave?! This was my narrowed down list.
Ok, so before we get into how amazing Ali + Jake are, I want to let you in on a quick secret. Neither of them were super gung-ho on an engagement session when we first started chatting about their wedding photography… which is totally fine.
Similar to every couple that says that exact thing, I convinced them it was a good idea and they both came around – and were even up for a winter session (bonus!). So we waited for some snow and finally were all set – except for the fact that the snow melted through the afternoon on the day of the session. Seriously…
Lucky for us, we were already planning on shooting a part of the session in Ali + Jake’s new home so after I got there and basically wanted to move in – we spent most of the time just hanging out in their awesome space. I seriously can’t tell you how much I love these two and their ability to just go with the flow.
If I’m being honest, it’s quite the (incredible) jump going from not really wanting to be in front of the camera to letting your photographer stand a foot above you while you’re cuddled up in bed. But boy am I thankful. These adorably fun frames are some of my all time favourites, and I’m so excited to share them below!
Let me know what you think of the “at-home” vibe?? It’s quickly becoming one of my favourite places to shoot!
Man, oh man… get ready to be killed by these smiles.
A little bit of a backstory – I knew Jay in Highschool and I got to know his lovely bride to be when we sat down to chat all things wedding photography! Going into this session I knew it was going to be a good time but I think after the first set of frames it was basically a done deal. The camera loves these two. Jay is a total joker and in combination with Zoe’s laugh, these two are just infectious.
There was no shortage of some good old “lol’s” and these two were up for anything as we breezed through the park – which we basically had to ourselves (score!). Take a peek through a few frames and probably my favourite laugh sequence ever.
When I first heard from Liz + Mike, I remember thinking that the plans they had for their wedding day sounded pretty awesome (…their reception is being held at an art gallery)! We met, we hit it off, and they booked me in for their day (*happy dance*). When we got around to planning their engagement session and they suggested doing part of it “at home” and wanted to know my thoughts – I knew at that moment that these two were just doing things right. As I may have already mentioned, it’s totally been on my bucket list to shoot a fun and comfy at home session and I was SO pumped to check this off!
We cuddled up at their place before popping outside and strolling through the park across the street at sunset. The plan all along was to head back inside to cap off the session on their balcony and once you hit the last couple images you’ll see why.
I love it when my couples are up for something different. Lujain, Bryan and I ran through a few options when we started chatting about their engagement session and we found something a little outside the box that all three of us were pretty pumped about.
It’s not every day you get to take over a runway, and the Airport in Brantford certainly didn’t disappoint… we truly had our run of the place. Lets put this killer backdrop aside for a second though, and discuss how Lujain + Bryan completely stole the show. I seriously couldn’t get enough of how much fun they have together, how much they can kick back and how they can bring out those smiles in each other.
“What smiles?” you may ask. Take a peek at some of my favourite frames… That second shot was literally the 7th shutter click of the session. (…come on, right?!)
They’re getting hitched this Sunday and I have a sneaking suspicion those smiles might make another appearance.
If you can believe it, Angela + Alex grew up just a few hours from each other here in Ontario, but didn’t meet until they were both in London, England. I know, right…their love story starts like any good romantic movie. (They have all the makings of a full plot, but I'll save a story or two for their wedding post!)
Fast forward about 5 years and they are getting ready to say their “I do’s” this coming July. Of course, knowing this duo for years now, we have totally shared some laughs but getting to document their relationship first hand was truly such a blast.
Dodging some raindrops as we strolled the Burlington waterfront, Ange + Alex killed their session almost as much as they killed their wardrobe choices. They danced on the dock, met a few animals along the trail and were just so effortlessly adorable together it was so hard to narrow down this blog post.
Take a peek at a few of my faves below.

From the first time they sat across from me in my office, Misia + Tom have had me swooning. Just like out of a movie, Tom came into the pub one night when Misia was bartending. Their first conversation lasted hours, only to be followed up by their first official date the following night. They quickly grew to be best friends, fit in seamlessly with each other’s families and as they say, the rest is history.
The countdown is on for these two and their NYE wedding, a year after their adorable Holiday proposal that took place last year! A few weeks back we caught the perfect sunset a few blocks from their Brantford home and they couldn’t have been more adorable in front of the lens.
If you can believe it – this session lasted only 15 minutes and resulted in some of my fave engagement frames ever. Talk about chemistry.
Fun Fact: Misia is as sweet as she is a total genius in the kitchen. She surprised me with some of her incredible home made gluten free cookies and my goodness they were delish! Recently launching her own business, you HAVE to check out what she is whipping up over at Marzipan Bake Co.
I met Jay a little over 10 years ago when we both attended University in Guelph. (holy moly time flies…) Fast forward through University and a good chunk of “real life” to this past spring when I got to meet Taylor - who it naturally felt like I had known just as long.
They make it seem all very effortless, these two. In a way that made capturing their relationship not only easy, but also a total blast. Tying in their love of sports, a local park, and of course their adorable rescue pups…it goes without saying we all had a pretty good time soaking up a sunset. Being back in the city and reminiscing a bit wasn’t too bad either.
They are getting hitched next summer, but I’d love for you to see some faves from their session in the mean time.
Emily + JD were home visiting from Edmonton a couple of weeks ago and we were sure to squeeze in an engagement session before their big day this fall! These two cuddled up as we strolled through downtown and got a killer mix of old and new backdrops in the James St North District. Getting to know these two was a total blast before we finished up the session at the exact spot JD proposed to Emily, putting my own spin on a spot that will always be special to them - one of my fave things to do!
They will be back in town and back on the blog this September, so leave them some love and come back and visit then!
You guys…these two are guaranteed to have you swooning into next week.
I joined Jaime and Travis in their new neighbourhood a couple weeks ago and I don’t think it’s possible for them to be more in love. After strolling through Corktown, we finished off the session on their rooftop and took in a killer view of the city, where I tried to convince them to stay for another few hours of modeling! (if only it weren’t so chilly…)
These two were truly so much fun to work with – and tying in the area where they bought their first place together just made their session that much more meaningful. These two are tying the knot in Muskoka this summer and I have a funny feeling the views and smiles will be just as stunning.
Gah. I just can’t handle it. Leave them some love, below!!
Andrea + Joe were so at home in the snow, as we hit the "slopes" for their engagement session last week! After the first part of their session saw not one snowflake, we headed out again after the storm so capture something a little more personalized to these two - and we definitely had some fun. Races... snowball fights... we did it all - and I didn't fall once (much to my surprise)!
After chatting about this idea the first time we met, and learning that Joe even got down on one knee while they were snowboarding, I'm so happy it worked out! Not to mention, their boarding gear is amazzzzing!
Check out a few faves, leave them some love below and come back and visit for their big day this June!
